Account & Subscription
5 questionsEverything about signing up, logging in, subscription links and devices. No email address is needed to register, one subscription link works everywhere, and switching devices doesn't mean buying again.
Do I need an email address to sign up?
No. A username and password are all you need — no email address required. Once you've registered, choose a plan in your dashboard and complete payment; your subscription is active right away.
How many devices can be online at once on one account?
Unlimited devices, all online at the same time. Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux can all use the same account — you don't need to buy a second subscription for another device. If a lot of devices share one server at the same time, they split that server's bandwidth.
Where do I get my subscription link, and how do I import it into a client?
Sign in to your dashboard and copy your subscription link from the overview page. Then open your client, paste it into the Subscription or Config field, save, and pull to refresh once to see the server list. Illustrated steps for every platform are on the Quick Start page.
Do I need to update my subscription link often?
The link itself stays the same, so you never need to fetch a new one. Route changes are made on the service side: pull to refresh the subscription in your client and you'll get the latest server list. It's worth refreshing once a week; if a server won't connect, refresh first before troubleshooting.
Do I need to buy again when I switch devices?
No. Install the client on the new device and import the subscription link from the same account. You can keep the subscription on the old device or delete it in the client — either way, your account isn't affected.
Connection & Troubleshooting
5 questionsConnected but pages won't load, an app that ignores the proxy, a failed subscription import — work through the steps below in order and most issues can be narrowed down in three steps.
The client says it's connected, but web pages won't load. What should I do?
Work through three steps: first, pull to refresh the subscription in your client. Second, switch to another server — from Hong Kong to Japan, for example. Third, close any other proxy or accelerator apps on your system so two tools aren't changing network settings at the same time. If it still won't connect after all three, open a ticket.
Why doesn't a particular app go through the proxy?
Some apps use their own network stack or a fixed DNS and ignore the system proxy settings. In your client, switch to TUN mode or global mode, or add the app to the per-app proxy list. On mobile, turn on the matching switch in the client and then restart the app.
Connected, but AI tools or streaming sites won't load?
These platforms judge availability by where your exit IP is located. Pick a server in a region that matches the platform — the US, Japan or Singapore, for example — then clear your browser cache and sign in again. Most regions have several servers, so if one doesn't work, try another.
Getting a subscription import failed or config parse error?
There are three common causes: characters lost when copying the subscription link, an out-of-date client, or a system clock that's far off from network time. Copy the full subscription link again, update the client to the latest version, and make sure your system time is set to sync automatically.
Can I use it on a router?
VPNWS apps cover Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux. Routers have to be configured on the device itself; VPNWS doesn't provide router firmware or install packages.
Suggested order: refresh your subscription first → then switch to another server → finally, close other proxy apps. If it still won't connect after all three, open a ticket and include your client name, OS version and the name of the server that failed.
Speed & Servers
5 questionsServer type sets the ceiling on your experience. This section explains how direct, relay and IEPL dedicated lines differ, and which to pick at peak hours. Coverage spans 120+ countries and 220+ servers, maintained in regional groups.
What can I do about slowdowns at peak hours?
Cross-border routes get congested at peak hours, so switch to an IEPL dedicated line first — these don't route through public internet egress and have lower jitter. You can also run a latency test in your client, pick the fastest server from the results, and set your usual server as the default.
What's the difference between IEPL dedicated lines, relay and direct connections?
Direct connections cost the least but fluctuate the most at peak times. Relay routes pass through an optimized segment, so stability sits in the middle. IEPL dedicated lines run on a private channel with the lowest latency and jitter, which suits video calls, live streams and AI tools. Use direct for everyday browsing and switch to a dedicated line when you need stability.
How do I choose among 120+ countries and 220+ servers?
Choose by use case: for streaming, go with the region where the service you want is based; for AI tools, go with the US, Japan or Singapore; for video calls and gaming, go with a dedicated line that's geographically closer. The servers page groups by region, so lock in a region first, then compare server types within it.
How do data usage and bandwidth relate?
Data is the total amount you can transfer each month; bandwidth is how fast it moves at any moment. Higher video quality uses more data per hour, so if you often watch HD video or sit in long video calls, go straight for the 250GB or 500GB plan. Monthly plan data resets every month on your activation date.
One server never connects — is it down?
A single server being unavailable is usually a temporary route change or maintenance; after you refresh your subscription it will normally come back or drop off the list. Switch to another server in the same region and carry on. If several servers in one region go down at once, note the region and server names in a ticket so the issue can be traced.
Billing & Refunds
5 questionsPricing, payment methods, data rules and the refund process. The amounts here match the plans page: ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, ¥28/month with 500GB, with data resetting every month on your activation date.
Which payment methods are supported?
Alipay, WeChat Pay and USDT — just pick one at checkout when you place your order.
What happens if I use up my data?
Monthly plan data resets every month on your activation date and comes back automatically in the next cycle — nothing to do on your end. If you run out early, you can upgrade to a higher tier and pay only the prorated difference for the days left in the cycle, or buy a standalone data pack: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, ¥658/3000GB. Packs last until you use them up and never expire.
Do data packs expire?
No. Data packs last until you use them up and never expire. They're separate from your monthly plan data: plan data resets each month on your activation date, while a pack is only deducted when you use it.
How do I request a refund?
30-day no-questions-asked refunds. Open a ticket from your dashboard with your order number — no reason needed. Once approved, the refund goes back to your original payment method.
If I upgrade mid-cycle, how is the price difference calculated?
The difference is prorated by the days left in your cycle. The system calculates what you owe based on the remaining days, and the higher data tier takes effect immediately after the upgrade.
